Jawad Husain, M.D.
Addiction Psychiatry Fellow
Dr. Jawad Husain is an early career psychiatrist investigator with interests in addiction psychiatry and research on cannabidiol as a novel psychopharmacological therapy. He graduated medical school and psychiatry residency at Boston University and enrolled at BU School of Public Health for an MPH. Currently, he is a Mass General Brigham Addiction Psychiatry Fellow, in the research track. His mentors are A. Eden Evins, MD, MPH and Stefan Hofmann, PhD. He received the Broderick Phytocannabinoid Research grant to fund his study: “Cannabidiol for Use in Social Phobia (CUSP): A trial of the anxiolytic effects of cannabidiol in adults with social anxiety disorder.”
