Joseph Acra, MD, Instructor of Psychiatry Harvard Medical School Assistant in Research Psychiatry MGH

Dr. Acra completed his residency training in adult psychiatry at Hahnemann University, Philadelphia, PA where he was Chief Resident and an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Currently Dr. Acra is an Assistant in Research at MGH and a Clinical Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr Acra works as a study physician/co-investigator on several smoking cessation studies at CAM, as well as practices community psychiatry with the Latino and Cambodian population in Chelsea and East Boston. He is also the medical director of the Boston Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter in Downtown Crossing.
