Postdoctoral Fellow Grant Funding Award
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Dongmei Zhi, a postdoctoral fellow at CAM, has been awarded grant funding through the David Borsook Project. The David Borsook Project supports research focused on advancing the understanding of pain, brain function, and related neurobiological mechanisms, with the goal of developing improved diagnostics and treatments for chronic pain and associated disorders.
Through this award, Dr. Zhi will examine how different types of chronic pain in older adults influence dementia risk by exploring the roles of inflammation, brain structure, and pain medications. Her work aims to identify underlying mechanisms and at-risk individuals, helping to inform strategies for preventing dementia.
