CAM Neuropsych Director Wins Annual Best Paper Award

Randi Schuster, Ph.D. received the fifth annual Best Paper distinction in The Journal of Clinical Psychiatry from the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology (ASCP) for her report on the effects of cannabis abstinence in adolescents and young adultsThe paper, entitled “One Month of Cannabis Abstinence in Adolescents and Young Adults is Associated with Improved Memory,” found that regular marijuana users ages 16 to 25 who stopped using cannabis showed greater verbal learning capacity in as little as one week of abstinence, as compared to those who continued to use. The award will be presented to Dr. Schuster at the annual ASCP meeting in Scottsdale, AZ, on May 29, 2019.
