Center for Addiction Medicine Showcases Research at the 2026 Society of Biological Psychiatry Conference

Staff from the Center for Addiction Medicine participated in the 2026 Society of Biological Psychiatry Conference, highlighting our center’s scientific research aimed towards advancing the understanding and treatment of psychiatric disorders.

Postdoctoral fellow Dr. Dongmei Zhi delivered an oral presentation titled “Association of Adverse Prenatal Exposure Burden with Persistent Psychopathology and Accelerated Cortical Thinning in Youth.” Her talk was featured in the session on Neurodevelopmental Influences on Brain Structure, Cognition, and Mental Health, highlighting important links between early-life adverse exposures and long-term brain and behavioral outcomes.

Program Director Julia Jashinski also presented a research poster, “Outcomes Analysis for a Randomized Controlled Trial of Cannabis Plus Behavioral Opioid Taper Support for Chronic, Non-Cancer Pain, ” at the conference poster session.
